COACH JORDAN BLANTON

Coach Jordan Blanton is a 3x Illinois High School State Champion for Richmond-Burton Community High School and a 3x NCAA All-American for the University of Illinois. He was a finalist for the University of Illinois Dike Eddleman Male Athlete of the Year, the 2009 USA Wrestling UWW Junior National Champion at 79 kg, and a member of the Titan Mercury Wrestling Club.

Following his competitive career, Coach Blanton began coaching under Hall of Fame coach Israel Martinez at Montini Catholic High School, helping the Broncos secure their 8th IHSA State Championship. He then spent six years coaching with Beat the Streets Chicago, where he helped develop the program’s first IKWF state place winner.

Now back in his hometown, Coach Blanton is fulfilling his dream of giving back to the community. Alongside his brother-in-law, Coach Ryan Prater, he is committed to training and inspiring the next generation of champions at Relentless Training Center.


COACH RYAN PRATER

Coach Ryan Prater is a 4x Illinois State Qualifier, 3x State Placer, 2x Finalist, and State Champion for Plainfield Central High School. He continued his career at the University of Illinois, where he was a 3-year starter, NCAA Qualifier, and All Big Ten honoree. He later transferred to Elmhurst College, finishing his career undefeated and capturing the NCAA Division III National Title. He was also named Elmhurst College Male Athlete of the Year.

After competing, Coach Prater spent five years coaching under Illinois legend and 2X NCAA Coach of the Year, Steve Marianetti. Throughout his coaching career, he helped develop numerous state champions and NCAA All-Americans.

At Relentless Training Center, Coach Prater is passionate about guiding wrestlers to reach their full potential both on and off the mat.
